The NEOCC has recently begun working with the Cleveland Area Mountain Biking Association (CAMBA). This partnership is a recognition of the fact that many mountain bikers climb (and vice versa) and both of our groups have a common goal of expanding quality outdoor recreation activities in Northeast Ohio. The partnership will give both groups a louder voice when lobbying and more hands when working on stewardship projects.
During the eight years since CAMBA’s founding, they have been very active in establishing mountain biking in Cleveland Metroparks. The article linked below gives a detailed account of these efforts, as well as a good idea of the amount of work that is involved in such a task. Given the NEOCC’s similar work, I would encourage everyone to take some time to read the article, as well as visit CAMBA’s website.
